Amber Burn Participation Terms
Amber Burn is a regional Burning Man event organized by “Lithuania Burners Bendruomenė”, c.c. 305570612, under the license of Burning Man Project.
Amber Burn is a private event that has internal rules of conduct and follows the Burning Man 10 principles in its planning, organization and execution. Not following the Burning Man 10 principles and/or the ticket terms and conditions may get you removed from the Event without the possibility of a refund.
By purchasing a ticket or receiving it as a gift, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Tickets and Admission
- There are no single-day tickets. The event lasts 4 days, and you get the most out of the experience by being fully present.
- There are no free entries or special discounts, except for children (under 16) and pre-approved ticket-aid program participants. This concerns every member of the core production team as well as everyone who works on any project producing content for the event.
- Tickets are transferable. By accepting a transferred ticket, the new ticket holder accepts the ticketing terms and conditions.
- Tickets are non-refundable, except in the unlikely event of the event being canceled. If the event is canceled, the tickets will get refunded, excluding the already-accumulated, non-negotiable expenses. These expenses may include but are not limited to venue rent, ticket transaction fees, equipment rental etc.
- Gate will operate each day of the Event between 12 am (midday) and 12 pm (midnight). If you arrive late, you will be welcomed back next day, except Sunday.
- In case of early arrival (being volunteer for the build week, part of art installation team, etc.) or late departure (being volunteer for the strike) you will make sure to have registered for a permission to enter the location early or leave late.
- Children (under 18) must be accompanied by their legal guardians.
Safety and health
- The Event follows Lithuanian laws and safety requirements. You confirm to be aware that in Lithuania, the use, possession and distribution of intoxicants other than alcohol and tobacco are illegal and may result in administrative or even criminal liability.
- You assume all risks and accept full responsibility for any injuries (including those resulting in death) or any other accidents that may occur as a result of your attendance at Amber Burn. You waive any claims for harm to your person or property resulting from your attendance at Amber Burn. You release the organizer, Event volunteers, planners, and property owners from any and all liability. All responsibility remains personal and is governed by the applicable laws.
- You are fully responsible for your own well-being and sanity, as well as that of your children or any accompanied minors. You agree not to climb sculptures, to swim at your own risk, to keep your dogs leashed, to wear appropriate footwear (lace your shoes), and to dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly by keeping them with you.
- Fire Safety: You must be extraordinarily cautious regarding the use of fire. You agree to maintain proper fire distances and perimeters, refrain from fire-diving, and ensure that no art or infrastructure objects are set on fire. You must use only the designated fire-grill areas.
- You are responsible for managing your own health and well-being during the event. You are strongly encouraged to bring a sufficient supply of any personal medications or medical essentials you may need. The organizer maintains contact with governmental first aid services and emergency medics, who will be called to the site if professional medical intervention is required.
- Respect all “STOP” lines and other boundary markers. Do not enter hazardous buildings or restricted areas. Do not use stored equipment without authorized supervision.
- Do not wander deep into the woods alone, do not swim drunk or intoxicated, and do not jump dive in any area of the water. Always watch your step, as the terrain may be uneven or contain hazardous-looking objects.
- Maintain safety awareness at all times.
Basic principles
Nature of the Event. Amber Burn (Event) is not a festival, meaning it is participatory by its nature: all of its content is produced by its participants, who must purchase a ticket each.
Event does not make profits. Each year Event’s budget includes direct costs of the current event surplus amounts aimed to finance next year’s art projects. Event financials will be made public after the Event.
Theme Camps. Event holds Theme Camp based organization structure. Each participant ought to join one or create their own Theme Camp and to be prepared with food, water, shelter, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything they may need to survive during and contribute to this Event.
No commerce. The Event does not engage in commercial collaboration, sponsorship or sales of any content / product. Such content (as well as any accidental trademark endorsement) brought by any participant will be asked to be removed from the Event. Using the name of Amber Burn as well as its visual materials for advertising, sales and other commercial purposes after the Event is prohibited.
Rules of conduct. Event participants are expected to respect other participants and their physical boundaries. We do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or other forms of discrimination and inappropriate behavior in any form.
Participants must be 20 years of age to consume alcohol at Amber Burn.
Amber Burn reserves the right to deny access to the event premises and/or require any individual(s) to leave the property at any time and for any reason, including i) when a ticket holder is under the intoxication of alcohol or other substances when entering the event, ii) when a participant is providing alcohol to people under age 20, iii) when my behavior causes risks or dangers to other participants or is essentially inconsistent with the principles of Burning Man or the general common sense of well-being.
Photo and video limitations. Participants are obliged to follow the Amber Burn Media Policy requirements: all personal images or videos at Amber Burn are to be taken only with consent of the people in the frame and are for my personal use only. You will not publish any other visuals. I understand that all and any commercial usage of images or videos is prohibited, except when authorized by written agreement from “Lithuania Burners” Bendruomene. The event will have licensed Photographers and Videographers to document the Event itself and capture the glam looks of its participants.
Leave no Trace. All event participants are mutually responsible for the cleaning of the Event venue, which includes removing all of their trash and other waste from the location.
Personal data. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to the use of your submitted personal data by the organizer for Amber Burn event purposes, including contact, identification and future community-related information delivery. Furthermore, you agree that licensed and consented footage portraying the participant may be used for community-related Amber Burn promotional purposes.
